Fees

Edward CHAMY Law Firm fees are transparently set with the client after approval of our quotation, according to the ethical rules governing the law profession.

From the first meeting and after the preliminary study of the case, Edward CHAMY Law Firm offers the client a choice of several billing packages, focusing on the most advantageous fees for the client.

Based on the above, a fee agreement is concluded between Edward CHAMY Law Firm and the client to establish the service offered by the Law Firm and the remuneration method.

Time-based fees

This fees are based on the number of working hours dedicated for the processing of the case by the Law Firm. Consequently, the total fees will be based on both the time allocated therefor and the hourly rates (which mainly depend on the nature of the tasks to carry out).

The basic hourly rate of the Law Firm is set at €250 before tax (based on the 20% VAT rate in force).

The first meeting is charged starting €200 before tax, including the file opening fees.

Flat Fee

This formula is adopted in case of little hazard concerning the course of the procedure, allowing therefore the Law Firm to agree with its client on a flat fee for the entire processing of the file.

Success Fee

The success fee shall be calculated based on the final outcome, i.e. a gain; the economy or advantage provided for the client. This is another form of remuneration which is added to the fee based on the time allocated for the case or to the flat fee, but which could not be the only remuneration method. The success fee is certainly due only in the event the client and the lawyer have previously agreed thereon by virtue of a written agreement.

A mixed fee convention is possible, including a profit-sharing, given the complexity of the litigation or dispute, based on the rules of Paris Bar.
